If you go out shopping for any gold accessory, you need to determine the purity of the gold you are going to buy. The purest comes in 24K, with the second best choice being the 18K. Usually the best choice for most people is the 18K because its 75% pure. As much as its alloyed, most of it is gold, and it has additional strength that lacks in the 24K.
